ONCE UPON A TIME IN BUDAPEST...
THE HIDDEN FACES OF A MAGICAL CITY

Documentary DVD film in 52 min.

Come and walk through Budapest with us and see its many wonders: Fisherman’s Bastion, Matthias Church, the Opera House, Parliament, the Széchenyi Thermal Baths, the Western Railway Station, the Basilica, the Dohany Street Synagogue, the Central Market Hall, Heroes’ Square and Vajdahunyad Castle. Walk along Andrassy Avenue, one of the most beautiful avenues in Europe, peek into the cafés and gaze across the spectacular bridges. First we admire the century-old buildings through photographs of the time and also archive footages. Then we see the buildings renovated as they are today, both inside and out, from a bird’s eye view assisted by the most modern drone pictures. The breath-taking images of the city are accompanied by the magnificent music of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, the melodies of Ferenc Liszt and Johann Strauss. The film is not just to entice tourists, but also provides an insight into the historical background and secrets of the way Budapest has been transformed into a metropolis.

The DVD is available in Hungarian or in English languages.
